In the news – just broken – France Galop, The French racing authority have announced that they are planning to start racing again in France following the Covid-19 lockdown on May 11th 2020 behind closed doors. No other racing authority have made any such bold announcement as yet although the BHA in the UK are still hell bent on running Royal Ascot behind closed doors in June. At Horseview, we think this is a crazy stratagy and perhaps to postpone all the Group 1 races of the week to a later date, maybe in late July at the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth meeting might be a better alternative?
