In our second video during the equestrian shut down, we show Charlotte Dujardin performing her Grand Prix Freestyle riding the famous Velegro. This was, we believe, the only time that this particular test was ever performed in public in the UK before the pair won a the Individual Gold Medal at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016 a few weeks after this performance. The whole freestyle can be viewed below and once again we thank Goldeneye Video & Photography for allowing us to use the footage which they took as the official videographers of the show at Hartpury CDI.

The news this week has concentrated on cancelled and postponed events. Hickstead has announced they have hopefully only postponed their sixtieth Derby meeting from the end of June until early September. This is provided the the FEI and other authorities agree with the move. If they don’t, the Derby Meeting will be cancelled. Currently, the Royal International Horse Show, also held at Hickstead at the end of July, is still expected to take place.
There have been several other cancellations around the world, details of which can be found on the relevant web sites. We are particularly sorry that The Badminton Horse Trials have succumbed, an inevitable out come, and feel particularly for the new team at Badminton, Jane Tuckwell and Andrew Tucker and all the staff who work so hard behind the scenes, in their first year at the helm of the event. It also goes without saying that Horse View UK’s free ticket offer has been cancelled.
Now to the video of Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro. Click below.
Please note that this video is the raw video as it was taken at the show without any editing.
